What better way to kick off the new year than with a challenge? I’ll be starting 2018 with A Round of Words in 80 Days (ROW80), a writing challenge that lets you define your own goals, so long as you achieve them in the 80 days following January 2nd. Nanowrimo kicked my butt this year, so I can’t wait for a little redemption.
In the 80 days leading up to March 22nd, I’ll be racing towards the following goals:
-330 hours of writing
-Release my first chapter to Wattpad (which would mean the entire draft would be beta-read, edited, and polished clean)
-Finish a new 80,000-word draft of Under the Gold Paint (if edits deem necessary)
Let’s see what I can accomplish (and how much sleep I’ll get)! I’ll be posting weekly updates on my progress as well as any insights I have here and on my vlog. This challenge aligns perfectly with Winter Quarter which means I’ll be two-thirds done with my first year at UCLA by the time it finishes. I can’t wait to see where my book is at and how I’ll grow!
